Ang Gu Kueh


椰香紫龟粿 Made On 23/09/07
I went to Aunt Irene's house to learn "Ang Gu Kueh " on yesterday.
I am very glad and excited I know how to make a very soft texture of Ang Gu Kueh at last. I ever made before the skin was quite hard after a few hours, but now 有aunt Irene 指导 下和她 the " secret recipe" and I can get it a 又软又香的美味!赞!
Don't you think that this Ang Gu kueh is quite special? " The skin is natural purple instead of red colour.
I know she was very tired yesterday coz not enough sleep for rushing her mooncakes for her brothers and friends. Next morning she still spend her time to teach me again. Anyway, I would like thank you for her teaching.

Nicole,
I heard aunt Irene said that you came on sat and came on Sun. Think of that both of us just like play hide and seek.We can't meet each other.

You really miss on that day. There are a lot of friends came to visit aunt Irene and have a lot of fun making mooncakes and Ang Gu Kueh.真是好热闹耶!

Joanne, the ang ku kueh look great,actually did ask auntie irene to teach me, but cos the processing time quite long so pending to learn it.

I can vouch for the "Ang Gu Kueh" taste & texture. Auntie Irene 的 secret recipe 真的不是盖的。 那个椰香紫番薯芋头龟馃夹着香蕉叶的香真的非常美味好吃,虽然功夫多,不过是值得的。

昨天我带了三个来office吃,剩下一个到晚上吃还是很香和软,真的是色香味俱全。。。口齿留香,从未吃过如此超赞的红龟馃。。谢谢Joanne和auntie Irene!

Joanne,will not be going to auntie irene hse this saturday liao cos talk to auntie irene and she said that can teach me through phone than i make myself.And do you think is it possible to teach me the ang ku kueh through phone too or need to teach face to face.Not sure when auntie irene is free to teach leh.will call you later.
